Good morning and happy hump day! Yesterday after work I went for a long walk/jog on the lake. It was super crowded and I kept getting nervous I was going to get hit by a biker! It was beautiful but I realized I prefer my outdoor workouts in the mornings when there are less people out and about. It was a great workout and I felt so much better! I went back to my apartment and did some push-ups and crunches.
I made this for dinner…
1/2 cup of whole wheat pasta with 2/3 cup of MorningStar Recipe Crumbles and 1/2 cup of jarred marinara sauce. I sauteed the crumbles until heated through. I added the marinara sauce to the crumbles to create the sauce. Of course I had to season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
With pasta, portion control is key! Since I was making this for myself I measured everything so I wouldn’t over eat.
I sprinkled the top with some reduced fat Weight Watchers cheese. I love their cheese products. They are low in calories and don’t taste artificial. I am not a fan of fat free cheese, it has no taste and doesn’t melt very well. It’s worth the extra calories to buy reduced fat!
I want to leave you with this video that I saw on the Today Show about drinking water! If you haven’t read my post about the importance of drinking water you can do so here!
Have a great day!
