Get a body like lady gaga

Besides her ah-mazing performance at the Grammy’s, I noticed she also had some pretty sick abs
I mean… Lady gaga’s body doesn’t come naturally, she works hard at it…duh. Here are some of my favorite exercises that I’ve learned from taking barre classes that will help sculpt and tone your body and make people go gaga for your hot bod!
Everyday I will post my favorite exercises that are easy enough to do at home.

Let’s start with everyone’s favorite, Abs!

Planks: The key to this exercise is to make sure your back is as flat as possible, hands underneath your shoulders, ribs close together, feet extended and inner thighs zipped. Hold for 30 seconds.

For an extra challenge:

lift your right leg hold for 5 seconds, then do tiny pulses (10 times)
do the same with your left legSide Plank:

Lie on your side with your right hand on the ground. Lift yourself up to form a plank with your right forearm on the ground and your left hand on your side. Remember to keep your body in a straight line tightening your ab and tush muscles.

Extra challenge: lift your left leg so your right leg and right arm are your only support. OUCH! hold for 30 seconds
Sit on the floor with your knees bent. Round your back making sure your navel is in towards your spine and abdomen is scooped in.

Now, lower your abdomen so that the waistline of your pants are on the floor (see below). Move your abdomen 1 inch lower and then back up again- that is 1 rep, try doing 30 reps. As you lower make sure you are rolling your body as if it were a yoga mat.
TIP: As you exhale, draw your navel even closer to your spine so that your hips are tucked under.

here I am explaining c-curve to my friends oye
Try these ab workouts at home OR take a Barre Bee Fit class. You won’t be disappointed!
Let me know if you have any questions about any of these ab exercises.
Have a great day!

Thanks for the great exercises! I am a big fan of the side plank, only my little challenge is moving an 8-lb free weight up and back while in the side plank position. I look forward to seeing what other exercises you post!

  2. Thanks so much Allison!
