Cheers to a three day weekend! YAYYYYY!
I am currently head over heels for blush. It’s the perfect Spring color that doesn’t wash you out and works great with all skin tones. I recently purchased a blush blazer and dress that I can’t wait to wear. I like to pair it with neutrals, navy, and brown. Are you blushing? I am!
Hope you all enjoy my friday fashion inspiration this week. Sorry I’ve been MIA, I was at a conference the past two days. While I was away, my blog got a makeover! What do you guys think?! Special thanks to Emily for her assistance- she’s an amazing!
Inspired by The Berry, I decided to compile my own style post.
Hope you enjoy my fashion inspiration!
I am so excited for my trip to Miami next month. I’ve already done some shopping and began thinking about what I need to pack. Traveling can stress me out so I like to plan ahead so I’m not panicking at the last minute. The items above are what I pack when I travel somewhere warm.
A good 2-piece bathing suit: I try to avoid tan lines at all costs, my sister and I love strapless bikini tops. We like to mix and match them too! I love this one with the ruffles.
Cover-up: I just purchased a new cover-up and can’t wait to wear it on my trip. I like a cover-up that can be worn as a dress, rompers work great as well.
Beach tote: I must have a tote that will fit my magazines, sun screen, ipad, etc. I like to use something thats lightweight and that I don’t mind getting a little dirty.
Sunnies: a must to protect my eyes from the sun.
Beach wave spray: I love Fekkai beach wave spray. Since my hair doesn’t hold up well with humidity, I spitz it on my hair when it’s damp to create natural frizz-free waves.
Headphones: I always keep a good pair of headphones with me at all times.
Maxi dress: A flattering and romantic maxi dress is perfect for a casual dinner or to throw on for a shopping trip.
ASOS Pointy Boots / Sole Society Bootie / Corso Como wedge bootie / Zara Cowboy Ankle Booties / Charlotte Russe Lace Up Platform Booties / ASOS Zip Platform Boots
How cute are all of these booties?! My friend called me the other day and was on the hunt for fall booties but she didn’t want to spend anymore than $100. I decided to go on a hunt for her to find adorable yet affordable booties. I looooooove booties, they are so versatile and I can wear them with practically anything. I typically wear them dressed up for work during the week with a skirt, tights, and a blazer. On the weekends I wear them with a pair of skinny jeans and a cozy sweater. Which of the booties above are your favorite?
Stella & Dot dot jewelry / NARS Body Oil/Yurbuds Headphones / Kilian Discovery Set / Clarisonic, $190 / Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain
The above items are what I currently use or wear daily. I can’t live without my clarisonic, it has completely changed the texture of my skin and I’ve been breaking out a lot less. Totally worth the investment especially since you won’t need to take trips to the dermatologist as frequently or purchase expensive products that don’t work. What are you currently obsessed with?
The name of this bold dark maroon color kinda freaks me out but the more I see it, the more I fall in love with it. Since I have dark features, reds have always been my go to color (besides black of course!). I’m loving this color so much that it’s going to be the next color I put on my nails. Oxblood is a beautiful rich color, it’s dark but not too dark where I would classify it as goth. If you’re not into reds, start out small with an oxblood accessories to determine if this color is for you. I’m a big fan of the oxblood leather pants!
I created this collage using Polyvore- what an awesome site! Below is where you can find the items in my collage. Happy Shopping!

Anyone who knows me knows that my wardrobe is almost all black. Inspired by the gorgeous spring weather Chicago has been having lately, I decided to jazz things up a bit by adding a leopard print blouse to my closet. Lately, I’ve really been into button blouses since they are a great staple item that can be worn with dress pants, jeans or skirts. I either pair these tops with a statement necklace or wear them tucked into jeans with a wide belt.
