Fatass Friday

I guess I should tell you what I’ve been up to the past few days.

I’ve been dog sitting my parent’s chocolate lab Chloe. I actually grew up with her. We got her as a puppy when I was 14 and we’ve been BFF ever since. My siblings think Chloe likes them the best, but we all know I’m her favorite.

just chillin with my girlfriend

I’ve been spoiling her rotten with a day at the spa (aka Petco), long walks, and giving her all the cookies she wants, although last time she stayed with me Jan told me she got fatter. I just love to spoil my Chloe!

Speaking of fat, look what I found…

 Trader Joe’s LAVA CAKES!

360 calories per cake

ooey gooey chocolatey goodness

Then it was time to whip out the vanilla ice cream = dangerous.

This is a very easy desert to have on hand. All you need to do is pop it in the microwave for 45 seconds and you have a warm chocolate molten cake. Texas boy and I shared one last week and it was amazingly good!

An Ode to Trader Joe’s!

I will be picking a winner for my beauty giveaway this afternoon, stay tuned!

  Have a fab weekend!

Fatass Friday

Today is fatass friday! I’ve been eating like it’s been going out of style these days so I figured why not post the fattiest foods I’ve eaten this past month along with new restaurant finds that have helped me practice my lunges as I put my jeans on.

Enjoy :)

Last weekend I hit up Burger Joint for a late night adventure.

I really liked it this spot! I met the owner who was very passionate about his business and gave us tons of free food to try. They have a huge menu of options to try.

Greek Fries with feta

Jalapeno and feta friesAwesome late night food, fantastic service.

A random Sunday afternoon brunch at Nana Organic in Bridgeport.

Cherry Stuffed French Toast

Featured on diners, drive-ins, and dives, this cute little diner has great tasting food that is all organic. Their menu features local organic, seasonal products and work with specific farmers and producers.

The Nanadict: house made chorizo, poached eggs, poblano cream and home fries.

Housemade English Muffin Breakfast Sandwich: scrambled eggs with organic cheddar cheese, maple dijon bacon, farm greens and home fries.

I absolutely loved Nana’s for brunch. It’s cute, cozy, and delicious! I highly recommend it!

Last but not least, I went to Big and Little’s for dinner last night. Big fastass mistake.

Shrimp Po’ Boy sandwich.

They were also featured on diners, drive-ins, and dives. No wonder I am a 5’3 jiggly mess these days.  I do not recommend Big and Little’s for a week night dinner. This is a place you need to visit when you are hung over, drunk, or craving fried food. Almost EVERYTHING on the menu is fried so get ready to take some tums after this meal.

truffle fries

These were amazingly delicious.

Have a great weekend!
